Darci graduated from the Rehabilitation Counseling & Human Services program at University of Idaho, Boise. Prior to attending graduate school at the University of Idaho, she studied social work in graduate school. Her undergraduate studies were in Criminal Justice Administration and Psychology at Boise State University. The Certification Commission for Psychiatric Rehabilitation awarded her the designation of Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner “based on demonstrated mastery of knowledge and skills in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation and a commitment to ethical practice.” After passing their national exam, the CRCC (Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification) established Darci as a nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.
As an Idaho Supreme Court Certified Mediator, Darci completed specialized training through the Idaho Mediation Association. She is experienced in alternative dispute resolution, including child development, age-appropriate, and graduated custody schedules; psychological issues in separation, divorce, and family dynamics; and intimate partner violence, domestic violence, mental health, and substance abuse issues. She is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) and attends many of their trainings and conferences across the country to ensure her knowledge is current and evidence-based. Additionally, she is active with local Family Court Service activities and functions.
Since the early 2000’s, Darci has dedicated her professional life to working in social services and has served as a program director, court-ordered mediator, court-ordered parenting coordinator, court-ordered reintegration therapist, victim-witness coordinator, case manager, rehabilitation specialist, HIPAA compliance officer, internal auditor, and an inpatient psychiatric unit assistant. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Psychological Association, the National Council on Rehabilitation Education, the Association for Conflict Resolution, the Academy of Family Mediators, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Darci co-founded Stellar Mental Health & Mediation out of her desire and commitment to provide ethical, professional, person-centered, strengths-based services in a positive, collaborative, and pleasant environment. She enjoys horses, classic cars, photography, and being creative in her spare time.
